easy read job centre letters for disabled people

We want the DWP and their job centres to provide 'easy read' letters for people with learning disability. This means that people will get letters that they have more chance of understanding. There will be fewer missed appointments and fewer people having their benefits stopped or suspended. People with mild to moderate learning disability are getting less support than they did previously. Many people struggle to read letters and bills. It should our right to get information in a way we can understand. 'Easy read' is an accepted and useful way of communicating with many people with learning disability. It uses plain, jargon free language in a large font and is accompanied by explanatory images or photos.
