Save Rawson Primary School’s Bus

The Department of Education/Department of transport- School Bus have reviewed the Bus Services for the Rawson Primary School and they have decided to terminate our service at the end of 2019.

With just over half of the school population (57%) currently using the service it would be very detrimental to the school and the community to lose this service.

To qualify for this service we need minimum 8 eligible children using the service. To fit the eligibility requirements children must reside 4.8km or more from the school and we currently only have 5 but 4 other children that live 4.7km that aren’t considered eligible!

With limited car spaces, no foot paths or crossing guard it makes it very unsafe for the children to get to school without the bus service. Many local parents rely on this service so they’re children can get to and from school whilst they work in the Latrobe Valley and without this service they won’t be able to work or will be forced to enrol them in a school in the valley (closest school is 35km).

We have until Tuesday 27th August to fight for our bus to be saved!

Please support Rawson Primary school and our local families who use this service!
