There should be a way to make everyone happy. Someone needs to care enough to work this out. Keep the trees.

Elms are rare and beautiful. They should be treasured.

It’s just ridiculous to 1) favour releasing more carbon into the atmosphere to improve the safety of more carbon emitting vehicles 2) remove elms that appear to be healthy when so many have succumbed to DED.
JUST PLAIN MADNESS

I have read the Manx Wildlife Trust's writings about this and there are obvious other solutions to wanton destruction of an important example of what is becoming an increasingly rare phenomenon of nature.

Man is Destroying the Environment! We need trees to breath amongst other things. Cutting down can lead to more Carbon emissions!

It was planted to provide shade, yet it could also be a hot spot for staging crimes/traps set by criminals or law enforcement agencies. Keep it, but always neat and tidy, in order to prevent traps by criminals and quick and easy for law enforcement agencies to operate in that areas.
