Small businesses are just as important as wallstreet, with far less money to help themselves and their employees.

The city, especially the mayor, need to protect low income and working class Denverites from falling deeper into poverty. We don’t need more corporate business or fancy condos. We need to shop local, support our neighbors, empower our communities, and stop thinking about what is best for the Mayor’s pocketbook.

Hancock should have taken measures to protect against gentrification years ago and instead he opened up the city for the elite to rush right in and prey on us.

I am signing because Denver doesn't need more expensive apartments and I am a frequent customer of Wash City. Let small businesses thrive.

I was raised in Denver from the time I was less than 1 year old. No, I'm not an immigrant. I'm a native born American raised in Denver my wjole life. I lefy Denver to serve in the military, for 21 1/2 years. Denver has become a place of transplants who have influenced the local/state govts to side in the side of financial carpetbaggrrs without regard for thr rich cultural and pioneering history and spirit if Denver and it's citizenry. I have a Master's degree and find it hard pressed return to my childhood home and roots. Don t let Dever and Colorsdo become a midwest Ca., NY, or some other souless haven of money driven and values absent community.

Denver has a responsibility to long-time business owners displaced by development.
