A Post-BDS medical bridge course

Dental Council of India (DCI) in association with Medical Council of India (MCI) has proposed a bridge course to help BDS students get an MBBS degree. This proposal was made in order to overcome the shortage of doctors and specialists across the nation. As well as there are thousands of BDS grads jobless trying to do jobs which is outside there feild and also BDS students go along the same path as MBBS students untill the stage of specialisation and this bridge course helps post-Bds students permitting to advance their careers, take up a second degree and graduate as doctors. After the bridge course, candidates will have to mandatorily serve in rural India for three years.

After the bridge programme, graduates can practice as first-contact physicians.
