To have a designated singing section/Fan group at Tynecastle

This petition had 455 supporters

Those that have signed are Hearts supporters who hope the club will introduce a designated singing area at Tynecastle for the start of the 2017/2018 season. In recent years Hearts fans have ensured the survival of the club through their attendance, fundraising efforts, and individual donations. But some of us feel that the current seating arrangements minimise our opportunity to vocalise our support on match days.

Singing sections have been successfully introduced by clubs across Europe, from Manchester United to Barcelona. Our major market competitors in Scotland – including Rangers, Celtic, and Hibs – have all introduced designated singing sections. Hearts is a very forward-thinking club, but in this regard we are behind the times.

We believe that the new stand gives the club an opportunity to reserve a section of the ground (possibly Gorgie end) as especially suitable for those who are keen to contribute vocally to the match-day atmosphere. Not only this but we would arrange fundraisers that would controbute towards displays/merchandise and also donations to the FoH. We are committed to self-policing and working with stewards to ensure that the designated area complies with the club’s standards regarding safety and non-discriminatory language.
