I am addressing this petition to Denise Hatton and her team to accordingly lift the guest ban for residents of the YMCA hostels. According to government guidelines and the recent lift of restrictions — residents should be allowed to have the right to have guests within their own rooms/flats. YMCA has not addressed this issue and has left residents to endure extreme isolation within this difficult time period. A lot of residents suffer with severe mental health issues and rely on the right to have a guest within their own rooms to maintain a better relationship with their mental health. Residents have been left with next to no information as to when we will be allowed to have guests within the facilities of the YMCA. Please help us by signing this petition to start a conversation. We feel like our rights as human beings are being stripped away simply because we are under the "supported housing" umbrella.
