As well all know asylums are a huge part of history and culture in the UK. Unfortunately many of these grand buildings have been converted into nothing more 'affordable housing's which is a joke in itself. 

The huge scale of this site and it's history should be enough reason for this site to be saved. People forget that this was a village inside a village where it had its own farm, post office, blacksmith, gas + water works, library, bakery, church and so much more. As well as that every asylum that has been developed, has been developed into a fancy flat block put simply. On top of that the main reason why Denbigh is known outside of Wales is due to this huge asylum. So in essence destroying this site would mean destroying the deep history of Denbigh and the main reason why it's now a well known town. 

As some of you may know there was a bid put in for it to turned into a hotel and multiple shops. As well as that the developer wants to keep as many of the original buildings as humanly possible. Which to me sounds like a much more sensible idea. However the council turned this down for it to be developed into 'affordable housing'

Please I hope you understand the importance and significance of this site. Not just for its ability to be a thriving centre of a community but also the history that has gone on behind those walls for the past 200 years
