Democratic National Committee
430 South Capitol Street Southeast
Washington, DC 20003

Democratic National Committee,

We the people of the United States hereby demand that all members of the DNC boards, committees, and officers whom have held their position for more than one year, in light of the events of 2016 should step down.

Furthermore, we request that these chairs should be filled by confirmed progressives, populists, and other democrats whom uphold the values of the people over the values of corporate donors or elitism.

It is the current DNC’s affinity to elitism and your own career establishment that has lost the 2016 Election and has allowed Mr. Trump to become President-Elect. A man that is a threat to the moral values most Americans hold dear.

We all witnessed the liberal populist movement rise up in 2015-2016 under the momentum generated by Bernie Sanders. It was the first progressive populist effort we have seen take hold in the nation since 2006-2008 Green Paradigm Shift and election of Barack Obama. That same time also saw rise of another populist movement, a conservative Tea Party and rise of Donald Trump. Whom have now over the course of eight years of party mismanagement, have grown unchecked and unhinged.

The very fabric of every effort President Obama has made on down to the blood, sweat, and tears given in-kind by activists and altruistic volunteers, donors, and supporters on the streets are now jeopardized by your misuse of power, abuse of campaign funds, terrible tactics, and ejection of Bernie Super-Delegates, staff, and volunteers from the Democratic National Convention. These fellow citizens were spearheading a populist movement that not only would of united the party, but was effectively uniting disenfranchised members of the GOP and ever increasing Independents. We had this opportunity to stop the toxic but popular conservative movement, retain the White House, and enable millions to focus on down-ballot races. But you blew it, all of the above might have been all for naught.

This negligence didn’t begin or end with former Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Chief Executive Amy Dacey, Chief Financial Officer Brad Marshall and Communications Director Luis Miranda. Every member of the current DNC leadership is guilty and complacent in allowing the voice of the American people from being heard and allowed the GOP to now control all three branches of government. You have allowed the checks and balances within our government to be crippled.

When the DNC allowed the majority of the funds for down ballot races to be given to Hillary Clinton in order to defeat Bernie Sanders in what should of been a fair and balanced primary, you essentially hamstrung and crippled the opportunity of hundreds to have a fighting chance to win in their own run for office. Effectively forcing many races to go unfunded and or become pure grassroots in their efforts in often hostile territories. With no funding from the DNC, many of these candidates went through the election struggling, unknown to the constituents in their area, and greatly weakened. When the electorate don’t know their Democratic choice, haven’t had the luxury to meet said person, see the articles, hear the interviews, how can they be convinced to not only vote for them, but to vote straight Democratic Ticket or to not vote straight Republican ticket?

No arguing, we are all witness to this. There are plenty of emails that verify these activities, meeting minutes, and records that clearly have exposed your dereliction of duty to the American people, democratic voters, donors, and supporters.

Your actions at the 2016 convention cost us a populist movement, cost us the Presidency, and down-ballot races and awareness. For this, we ask all members of the Democratic National Committee whom have retained their position or a position within the organization for more than a year to step down and relinquish their duties to new, vetted, progressive, populists.

Bad decisions aside, if this presidential loss could of taught the DNC anything, it is that the American people are sick and tired of crony elitists and our voices being ignored. The time to take responsibility for your actions and change the course of the party and future elections is now.

 Regretfully signed,

 The American People
