Pourquoi cette pétition est importante

Lancée par Nancy Anderson

We firmly assert our call for the immediate resignation of Karim Ahmad Khan, the Lead Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Regrettably, Mr. Khan's tenure has been marked by a significant dereliction of duty, particularly in the face of the grave war crimes committed in Gaza.

The situation in Gaza is dire, as corroborated by numerous reports from esteemed international bodies such as Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International. These reports shed light on egregious human rights abuses and potential war crimes that demand swift and decisive action.

Despite the overwhelming evidence and urgency of the matter, Mr. Khan has failed to exhibit the necessary resolve or effectiveness required for the role of an ICC prosecutor.

This position is not merely a job; it entails an enormous responsibility to pursue justice and protect humanity.

Unfortunately, Mr. Khan seems to lack the essential qualities of courage, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to upholding international law.

In the face of such shortcomings, we advocate for a change in leadership at the ICC – a leadership that will not hesitate to hold those accountable for war crimes, irrespective of their origin or affiliation.

The imperative to safeguard the lives and well-being of innocent civilians hangs precariously in the balance, overshadowed by bureaucratic inertia under Mr. Khan's watch.

We invite you to stand with us in demanding a transformation at one of the world's paramount institutions dedicated to upholding human rights and international law.

Your support is crucial in urging for change, and we encourage you to express your solidarity by signing this petition today. Together, let us insist on a renewed commitment to justice and humanity within the ICC's leadership.
