My name is Carter Clay Horton . I am 6 years old and my Father is Aubree Clay Horton. He was an outstanding man with exceptional integrity. As an Honor Graduate of the US Air Force, a leader in his football career, and an award-winning Fugitive Detective for the Atlanta Police Department, his life was dedicated to truth and justice. It is devastating that our character and reputation have been tarnished by a baseless burglary charge that was later overturned by the Douglas County District Attorney.

The charge of burglary against Aubree Clay Horton was not only unfounded but also contradicts the statutory requirements under Georgia Law OCGA 16-7-1. Despite the dismissal of these charges by the DA, the unjust public statements made by the Douglas County Sheriff Tim Pounds to retract false statements and remove verified  highly tampered video that was released to mass media. This will be intentionally traumatizing for his son.  Because of the refusal of Douglas County Sheriff to correct this wrong it has led to the denial of essential insurance policies for my  future . I have been denied what my Daddy had in place for me because of this horrible injustice.

I as his son have suffered the wrongful death of my Daddy our  family, friends, and community, are deeply pained by this injustice. It is not just about us; it is about preserving the true legacy of my Father  who embodied honesty and valor, ensuring his honor is remembered correctly for my family’s lineage. Please help us restore my Daddy, Aubree Clay Hortons Legacy. I ask God not to ask me to bear that and His will be done.

We respectfully call for the responsible parties to make a public retraction of the erroneous media statements that have damaged Aubree Clay Horton's standing. By doing so, rightful benefits to his son Carters future that have been denied based on this false charge by Douglas County Sheriffs Office . Aubree Clay Horton was of a man who stood for Truth and Justice+❤️🇺🇸
