one of my friends told a staff member in school about when they got raped. the staff member is now forcing them to talk about it and is telling their parents. this violates student confidentiality. we believe that this needs to be stopped. it is not okay for an adult to force a minor to talk about something they aren’t ready to. school staff should not be able to tell parents/other staff confidential things we tell them. this petition will help us gain confidence in talking about things that we need to get off our chests, but don’t want to tell our parents. please sign this to support the change we want to make.
