Christian Malone is just like any other 9 year old kid. He loves Spiderman, enjoys fishing, and exudes joy and innocence. Christian also has Down’s Syndrome and, until recently, Attended Woolmarket Elementary School.
 
On April 8, 2022, when Christian returned home after school, his mother, Jessie Malone, was horrified to discover marks and bruises all over Christian’s torso, abdomen, and arms. When she asked how it happened, Christian was unable to fully articulate what happened and could only respond with “Ms. Sarah hurt!”
Christian’s mom immediately contacted the teacher, school principal, and school board superintendent, demanding an explanation. The only answer she was given? 
 
“There has been some confusion between Christian and a teachers assistant, Sarah Milar.”
 
Ms. Malone was told that the authorities would review the camera footage for answers, but they refuse to disclose what happened that day. 
 
“I still don’t have any answers as to what happened to my son that day, and I’m left with the aftermath of this abuse and the traumatic effects it has had on my son, Christian.” Jessie Malone says. 
 
Jessie and Christian deserve answers. 

Jessie is pursuing actions against the Teachers Assistant and against Harrison County School Board. She is working hard (as a single mother) to retain legal counsel, cover the added costs of doctor’s visits and therapy, and keeping Christian’s schooling up to date, all while maintaining the daily business of providing for her family. She is struggling. She needs our help. 

Justice for Christian is what needs to happen. Our community needs to stand behind Jessie and her son and demand answers from a group of politicians that are indifferent to the suffering of this poor child. Christian deserves better. Christian deserves answers.
