This petition stems from my personal experience - I have recently built a new home and have been waiting for the installation of electricity to receive my Certificate of Occupancy. Sadly, this is so because Glades Electric Company has been slow in performing this crucial task. I am not alone in this. Many new homeowners have faced similar frustrating delays due to the company's slow service, leaving houses uninhabitable and homeowners in a challenging predicament. In a time where electricity is a basic amenity, it is distressing that new homeowners need to wait excessively to be connected.

The National Electrical Contractors Association stresses the need for efficient, well-planned, and expedited electrical installations in all premises, highlighting how high-quality installation services can enhance safety and habitability of homes.

It is imperative to address this issue immediately to alleviate the hurdles faced by new homeowners in our area. As both customers and the community of Glades Electric Company, we are demanding expedited electric installations for new homes. No one should have to wait an inordinate time to start their new life in their dream home. Sign this petition and urge the Glades Electric Company to rectify this issue.
