WE DEMAND A FREE AND FAIR LEBANON

We, the collective, independent opposition, comprising civil activist groups, new political parties, associations, and organizations, from within Lebanon and abroad, come together in a united stance to call for FREE and FAIR ELECTIONS in 2022.

We are NON-partisan, choosing to use PEACEFUL and DEMOCRATIC methods to achieve our purpose. We are accepting of all faiths, beliefs, colours and genders.

Our objective is to agitate millions of people around the world who believe in a better Lebanon by inspiring a MOVEMENT for CHANGE for Lebanon which mobilizes the members of the 16 million-strong Lebanese diaspora and the citizens of Lebanon to:

1. REGISTER TO VOTE, in your home country, and prove to the Lebanese Government that the diaspora IS INTERESTED in what's going on in Lebanon. Click this link to learn: How to Register to Vote

The right to register closed on November 20, 2021 with more than 244,000 Lebanese in the diaspora registering. This was a huge win for the movement for change as we tripled the number of people who registered for the 2018 elections. So thank you to everyone who registered. Well Done.

Steps should be taken now to get your ID papers in order to be ready to register to vote for the 2026 elections. Please start now. OR

            a. RETURN TO LEBANON: If you missed the November 20, 2021 deadline to register to vote, and vote in your district. Your vote is vital.

2. GLOBAL AWARENESS: We have launched a worldwide campaign to educate and awaken the diaspora about the truth of the political, social and economic situation in Lebanon through screening the documentary film ENOUGH! Lebanon's Darkest Hour to local communities, at schools, universities, to organisations, groups as well as lobbying governments and international groups. Your help is vital in helping us continue our educational outreach work.

 3. FACTUAL INFORMATION PLATFORM: Build a digital platform that delivers objective information in English, Arabic, French, Spanish and Portuguese on the situation in Lebanon and in the diaspora.

                                        FREE AND FAIR ELECTIONS

We demand Free and Fair elections and call on global and regional powers including the United Nations, World Bank, IMF, USA, EU, France, UK, Australia, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan and all others to allow independent monitors full oversight over the entire voting process to prevent, minimise and eliminate: 

•  VOTE TAMPERING
• VOTER FRAUD
• VOTER INTIMIDATION

A FREE election is one in which all citizens are able to vote for the candidate of their choice.

A FAIR election is one in which all votes have equal power and are counted accurately. These are universally accepted standards that governments need to meet before, during, and after an election to ensure that an election is both "free and fair".

The eight standards that define "free and fair" are:

1. Citizens are able to register to vote;

2. Voters have access to reliable information;

3. Citizens can run for office;

4. All voters have access to a polling place or another method of voting;

5. People can vote free from intimidation;

6. Voting is free from fraud;

7. Ballots are counted accurately and the correct results are announced;

8. The results of the election are respected.

                        Today's Lebanon is neither FREE NOR FAIR!

The voting process is the most powerful tool that we, the people, have to show the incompetent Lebanese government that we DO NOT accept their criminal negligence.

Lebanon deserves a government that will give its citizens:

1.     Back the money it stole out of our bank accounts.

2.     Uninterrupted electricity.

3.     Hospitals accessible to all.

4.     Clean and safe drinking water.

5.     An equitable education system.

6.     Public transportation.

7.     Safe roads.

8.     Jobs that pay a fair salary; and most importantly,

9.     The right to remain in our own country and live with dignity.

The raping of Lebanon, of its banks, its resources, its institutions, its mountains, its oceans, and its people, MUST STOP!
