We, the undersigned businesses, workers and residents of Abbey Green and surrounding are deeply concerned about the ongoing anti-social behaviour, criminal activities and public disturbances occurring at a flat managed by Curo at 7 Abbey Green in Bath. This behaviour includes but is not limited to: vandalism, shoplifting, burglaries, anti-social behaviour, noise disturbances, verbal abuse and other illegal related dealings, that are directly involving or linked to the residents of the flat in question at this curo property at 7 Abbey Green.

This situation is not only disruptive to the peace and safety of our community but also poses a threat to the well-being of local residents, workers, tourists and visitors to Bath. Despite numerous complaints, police cases and attempts to resolve these issues together with the local authorities and other responsible bodies like Curo, the situation persists, causing distress and frustration amongst business owners, workers, residents and members of the public.

We urge the relevant authorities, including the Bath and North East Somerset Council, the local police and Curo to take immediate and decisive action to address this matter. This may include eviction, increased inspections and patrols, proper enforcement of existing regulations, mediation efforts, or any other appropriate measures to ensure that our neighbourhood remains a safe and peaceful place to live and work.

This issue has been ongoing for many years, it is well documented and very well known to the local authorities. All the steps taken to date have had little to no impact and these issues have continued regardless. Unless there is now immediate change, we will have no alternative but to make this issue known to the greater public in its entirety.

By signing this petition, we stand united in our demand for action to put an end to the anti-social behaviour and criminal activities plaguing our community. Together, we can create a positive change and uphold the values of respect, civility, and harmony in our neighbourhood.
