Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont announced he would roll back pandemic restrictions starting March 19. The governor has also stated that he would maintain the state's mask mandate but we ask how would that be implemented in indoor restaurants and bars serving food? At 100 percent capacity with those sitting at restaurants and bars not wearing face masks will turn those establishments in super spreader events.
One cannot eat or drink wearing a mask!

Lamont and his advisers appear to be ignoring science.
In addition to the CDC, more than 200 scientists signed an open letter urging all public health authorities to recognize the potential for airborne spread of Covid-19. They highlighted numerous studies that had proven the virus could easily travel more than 30 feet.
Six feet and plexiglass in indoor restaurants will not protect you!

Connecticut has suffered 314,000 COVID-19 cases and 7,904 deaths.
The U.S. as a whole has seen over 30 million COVID-19 cases and 555,000 deaths. Connecticut has its terms for success defined backward, said Saad Omer, Yale School of Public Health epidemiologist and the director of the Yale Institute for Global Health.

VaccineAngel.com and it's 23,000 members demand that Governor Lamont maintain all present restrictions as 80 percent of the State's residents have not been vaccinated. Allow those who have been vaccinated to enter closed public indoor spaces and make receiving a vaccination an incentive for others to receive Covid-19 vaccinations.

Governor Lamont is correct: Connecticut is not Florida. But lethal, air borne viruses in an indoor restaurant or bar do not know that.
Like the band playing on the Titanic, taking masks off in restaurants and bars at 100 percent capacity feels good but does not save lives.
