If you were having a dinner party, you'd need to know how many people were coming, and any special needs...babies, disabled for some reason, food restrictions etc. You'd need a head count for the number of seats and plates and amount of food.

So it is with supplying the needs of the people who live in these United States. We need a head count. An accurate Census is extremely important for what gets funded and how much from our tax payer money.  This current government has not done a good job encouraging people to complete the simple questions, because in fact, they've done the opposite...  deviously scaring  people away from filling it out.

Now the latest decision by the current Administration is to shorten the time needed to collect the data.!!! Why would the US Govt do that in the time of an epidemic. It makes no sense unless your reason is to not have an accurate count, especially from people who need services.

We need more time for census workers to collect the data. I heard it's up to Congress to make the decision. Please sign this and call your Congress people and tell them to extend the deadline for collecting the census data.

While you are at it, tell them to fund the US Post Office. Maybe that's another reason the data is coming in slowly.  Congress MUST work for us, the people, who pay for their salaries, pensions and health care insurance. Tell them.
