On May 5, 2022 at approximately 11:00 am a loaded handgun was found in a student’s backpack at Crete Monee Middle School. 

Parents. Teachers. Tax Payers. We need to demand change! 

This petition is being circulated in support of metal detectors in Crete Monee Middle School and Crete Monee High School. Funding MUST be provided by our district to allow this to happen. Before it’s too late. A tragedy was avoided yesterday, just mere weeks before the end of the school year.
