Prohibit airlines from charging extra for seat assignments

It has become a recent trend to charge more for seat assignments on many airlines. This is unfair to families and people traveling with special needs. For healthy adults this is not a problem, but for families with young children, families with special needs children, or people traveling with aged adults, this is unfairly punitive. For a family of four--two parents and two kids under the age of 6--extra fees for sitting together really add up and make flying prohibitively expensive. It is an unfair surcharge. And really, who wants to sit next to a toddler or autistic child without their primary caregiver next to them? It is a ridiculous fee, and should be done away with immediately.
