No shot? Shoot…No travel. Require covid vaccine proof for domestic flights/ travel

We are facing 43 million cases, 703 thousand deaths and counting due to Covid-19 in the United States as of October, 2021. The Delta variant is surging across the US. This is an airborne virus, spreading in seconds, and lingering in the air for hours. Many states have implemented vaccine requirements to enter indoor dining or entertainment… why hasn’t the transportation sector started? What’s stopping this? Would it be crazy to adopt the same for indoor travel?
Nobody should have to be seated next to an unvaccinated person indoors. Hard stop.
Minimally, airlines/long distance trains should be providing rapid or pcr tests and proof of vaccine to travel during high transmission period (now). Masking policies are poorly enforced with patrons removing for eating and inconsistent types of masks used. I know I have had to sit next to a coughing unmasked traveler who used “eating” as an excuse to not mask during my 7 hour flight for a funeral. In addition, 73 million children are unable to be vaccinated right now, putting them and their families at greater risk. We have a novel airborne virus with high transmission continuing to spread across the country along with waning immunity… The time is now for airlines, trains, and public/private transportation to step up and help stop the spread.
Transportation companies, please provide passengers with rapid reliable tests, install hepa filters (trains), require vaccine proof, and incentivize more Americans to do the right thing and get vaccinated for the sake of themselves and everyone seated around them.
No jab? No travel. Would you feel safer traveling with this in place? If yes, please sign.
As a healthcare worker, I know what airline I would book if given an option of one that offered this over the others.
