Sanskruti Yadav started this petition to Delhi HC and

How our society defines marriage is:- A bond between a biological man and a biological woman. But it’s not the society that shapes our feelings. It's us, isn’t it? If we want to marry or stay with a person irrespective of their gender, it's as normal a decision as heterosexual people choosing their partners. Therefore, we are here to normalise the thought of LEGALISING SAME- SEX MARRIAGE.

India's top court decriminalised gay sex in 2018.The ruling striked down a 146-year-old colonial-era law, known as Section 377, banning gay sex. The court said the law had become a "weapon for harassment in the LGBT community." This decision brought in sense of joy across the country for the people who have been fighting for LGBT+ rights.

But on 25th February 2021 opposing same sex marriages, the Centre said, "Living together as partners & having sexual relationship by same sex individual is not comparable with Indian family unit concept of a husband, wife & children which necessarily presuppose a biological man as 'husband', a biological woman as 'wife' and children born out of union", in a affidavit.

The LGBT+ community is facing lots of problems in the world, why don’t we raise a helping hand to share their burden and help them to fulfill their wishes? Why can we not contribute to their fight to get the basic human rights.

In India the major part of society comprises of the youth and if we stand together we can surely bring a change. So by signing this petition your small contribution will bring a big change in our country.

LOVE IS LOVE
