Rather than rely on current testing procedures, culling & legislation, I would like to see more money, time & effort spent developing a preventative,comprehensive anti TB vaccination to be made available by September 2022.

This should be a mandatory injection for all Owners whose animals are at risk of contracting & spreading TB to include Deer,Camelids & Bovines.In doing so this makes all Owners accountable & removes the selected classification between Pets & Livestock we currently live with.

In creating a vaccination the results will be traceable, monitored & more widely & evenly distributed right across the UK.

Current methods in place are not 100% effective & we have not been successful in eradicating this hideous disease.The UK’s current TB situation is out of control.We cannot hope to fully contain TB following our current courses of action & so therefore we should concentrate more effort on preventative measures & the sooner we change course & accept this as our way forward the better.

We have successfully managed to fast forward the development of several vaccines to prevent Covid 19 causing death to many people & if this can be done for the general good of the public’s health, so too can it be done for a preventative vaccination for TB for the sake of the public’s health.
