Pedestrian Safety from The Grove Neighborhood to Grove Valley Elementary

To Whom it May Concern:
From The Grove Neighborhood, there isn't a continuous sidewalk to get to the entrance of the school. Pedestrians are forced to walk directly in the parking lot; behind parked cars that could back out at any moment. Exiting cars are also an arms reach away. It is ridiculous that there is no sidewalk, and a major safety concern for students trying to get to school safely.
If some of the residents of The Grove didn't walk their kids to school, the line to drop-off/pickup would be longer than it already is causing major traffic congestion. Plus, with only one recess a day, walking home is a great way to release energy. It also gives parents time to relieve stress and connect with their kids.
The path of pedestrian travel is a major issue that is an easy fix, if the Deer Creek District and Grove Valley's principal would take responsibility for this and make something happen. Is it going to take someone getting hit by a car to make it happen or can we get this addressed immediately? THANKS for your support!!
Map Legend: Red lines are the two options for a safe path.
