It is often difficult and time consuming for the public to identify products with packaging that is either completely or partially non-recycleable or polluting.  Often this information is omitted, lost in small print or vague. Moreoer it requires research to find alternatives which have more environmentally friendly packaging. This denies the opportunity for the environmentally concerned public to influence suppliers by choices they may otherwise make and their  impact on sales.

We call on the UK Government to require all packaging for items for sale in or to the UK which is not entirely and generally recycled to bear the wording "NOT RECYCLEABLE" on the front.  This wording must be larger than any other writing visible on or through the packaging and be in Red (100%R).
