Tell Councilmember Debi Rose: Vote NO in the Council on 26-floor towers (‘River North’) on Staten Island’s steepest hill.
The vote allows five zoning variances – flouting Hillside Preservation, extending the St. George urban area, introducing high density 18-story zoning to Staten Island, and adding 8 more stories (total 26).
It is completely out of scale with the low rise neighborhood and community services.
It makes a mockery of neighborhood planning and the environment, for the special benefit of a single land-owner.
