All colleges across the province of Ontario have been on strike since October 16, 2017. this is a result of a number of unfair circumstances that Part-time faculty are faced with. for so many years they have been asked to do the same work as full time faculty without being paid for anything they do outside the class room such as grading, preparing material, responding to emails from students, making time to meet with students one on one to assist with courses and clarify concepts. in addition to that part time faculty are working with uncertainty of whether they will return the following semester to teach their students. recently the employment council's decision to create a category called partial load full time to end things and force faculty to return to work. Support faculty by signing this pitition and helping faculty say NO! to the Employment council's decision. In order to create a proper education system for all we need to make sure both faculty and students are heard and allowed to make decisions about what happens in their classrooms and that is not a decision made by administration.
