LaNiece Birchmore started this petition to Deb Jones and

This semester there is a hold on A'Jiana's account disallowing her to continue at school. Her aid money will allow more that enough to pay for this balance.

Thus far, no one has been willing to listen to the crucial details of this issue.

Last year a hold was released for her. We were told the aid was said to cover the balance due and this is how it would be taken care of. Then, a refund was given. At no point did the many people involved in assisting to rectify this situation explain or state that the balance needed to be paid from the refund monies. This was a vital and crucial element of instructions that was never communicated.

When news of the issue came we were shocked. We wondered why someone would send a REFUND to someone who still owes money to them. It was only then that I was informed you can not pay the previous balance with current aid, that is would need to come from the refund monies and from there to be paid.

Now we are not here to debate the veracity of that logic being what it is. We are here requesting that you please release the hold, with, the firm and wholehearted understanding that the prior balance must needs be paid post-haste upon receiving the 'refund'.

A'Jiana is a good girl and UC student; further she is an employee at UC Admissions, a roar guide and sits on several E-Board's and works in the community. In fact here community work rivals the time of classes. She is adding value by here presence there.

Please consider helping us to fix a mistake that only you can fix. One not of our own making. We all would greatly appreciate you helping A'Jiana continue doing good work and allow her to continue with school.

With much appreciation for your time,

Those who love, support and value, A'Jiana Birchmore.

Be well and take very good care.
