Safety of individuals is a core purpose of the role of a Police Officer. Breaching that trust that the public have in your role is disgraceful. Knowingly placing a woman in danger is unforgivable.

Women’s rights to safety are seemingly swept under the carpet once again. The behaviour of this officer is unacceptable in any other organisation he would have been stood down. This situation is a disgrace and another example of how little regard we have for women’s rights let alone safety in their community particularly from the people who are charged with the responsibility to protect them the police.

It is time the safety of women was a priority instead of an inconvenience to men.

This man should be sacked. He has betrayed, and put in serious danger, a member of the community he is meant to protect.
