Due to the global pandemic of COVID-19, all classes within the business school have been converted to online. The faculty have been forced to overhaul their class set up to accommodate this change. In doing so, despite their best efforts, their accessibility has been dramatically reduced. The faculty's ability to teach their subjects has been severely impeded. Resources for students have been drastically limited. All these changes, though necessary, have greatly increased the challenge for all students and faculty. This paired with the countless number of problems and stress of the external environment have created the perfect storm for the KU Business School student. Our GPA and experience are major components for future job opportunities. Many summer internships have already been canceled due to COVID-19 which takes away an opportunity to get experience. Our GPA is also currently being affected by the pandemic. While this is something completely out of anyone’s control, let’s control what we can and allow the student to make the decision about what is best for their future. Different schools across KU’s campus understand this and have instituted a pass/fail option for all classes. It’s time the KU Business School do the same.
