Where do you swim if you’re a Kingborough resident?? Travelling into Hobart for swimming is adding to congestion on the Southern Outlet and is inequitable for families on income support as there is no subsidised swimming in Kingston. Thousands of houses are being built but the creation of a public pool is not even being considered by council. This is crazy!! As the population grows in Kingston, Huon and the Channel we are really missing out on the benefits to community health and wellbeing! Ask Dean Winters to build a public/private funded public swimming pool for Kingbourough!!
