Drop the false charges levied against Cabo Granato

On November 17, 2011, I Cabo Granato, a student at Rutgers University in Newark NJ and the elected President of the Rutgers Newark Student Government, approached one Dean Clayton Walton about some deductions from the student government financial account totaling about $3,000. These deductions were made without the knowledge or approval of any student, no student had reviewed this deductions or signed off on any type of form permitting these monies to be taken out of the student account. The deductions from the account were labeled for "Cyber Lounge" a computer lab for students to utilize and for services rendered one year prior that were never paid. I requested this information from our direct adviser who is in Clayton Walton's department and reports directly to him but I never received any information back explaining the deductions, only that they were discussing the matter. During that interaction Clayton Walton was very abusive in his tone, demeanor, and even his physical actions. At one point the Dean, behind closed doors, told me that if I had a problem with him that "the two of us can step off campus and we can handle it that way" obviously alluding to a physical fight. After leaving the Dean's office I felt threatened and intimidated so I immediately contacted the authorities and pressed charges against Dean Clayton Walton for harassment. Nearly a month later I received an email stating that a complaint was made against me to the Student Conduct office for disorderly conduct and bullying/intimidation/harassment by Clayton Walton. This was an openly retaliatory move by Walton and a scare tactic to get me to stop asking questions. This incident occurred in October, my first hearing that I was called into, which happens to be on an entirely separate campus located 45 minutes away, was in late December during final examination period. Now the conduct hearing is set for Friday, April 13, 2012 occurring right around final examination period again. I urge you to please sign this petition in hopes of having these false charges dropped against an innocent student. Please help, you assistance is needed.
