Greatly Reduce (or Eliminate) Parking Pass Prices at UT Austin

College is financially taxing enough without all of the other miscellaneous expenses that accompany it's way of life.  Because the University of Texas is downtown, if you don't have a parking pass or a handicap sign then you are forced to use local parking resources which can rise well past $1000 over the course of the school year.  The passes available for students start at the annual price of $138 and rise to nearly $800 depending on the passes proximity to campus and the hours in which you are allowed to actually use it.  In addition to this, you can get all the way to campus, pass and all, and still have to pay for parking because a parking spot is not guaranteed.  This forces you to spend money that you possibly can't afford to sacrifice and be late to class, affecting your overall college performance.
