Reading week is essential for the health of students. It allows us to destress, heal, catch up on work and readings, practice our skills, take our CPR certification, get vaccinations, Chest X-rays for TB, have Doctor’s appointments, bring balance back to our lives, apply new strategies for maintaining our health and attaining learning outcomes. The lack of a reading week this Fall 2020 semester has induced a state of prolonged stress and aggravated health problems of the students. This  decision  has impacted the students perception of how much the College  cares for the health of Practical Nursing students especially  since the Collaborative  Nursing program recieved a reading week. Needless to say a lot of students  will not be returning.
