My classmates and I feel that if we have Professor Crisalle for Phase next semester, we will not learn what we need to learn, as it's been happening this semester with Process Thermodynamics. Professor Crisalles fails to provide examples that resemble the homework, quizzes, or exams. He wastes class time either fixing zoom issues or deriving equations that can easily be memorized, instead of teaching how to use the equations in real-life problems. Crisalle is also very unprofessional with his students. He starts quizzes late and penalizes students for turning it in 0.1 seconds after the due time, no consideration for internet or technical difficulties. He also gives students only half credit for school approved absence make-ups. He forced his students to attend unapproved after-hours quizzes, which only stopped after we informed the dean. When we try to talk to him about our questions and concerns, he takes it personally and disregards the question in a very unprofessional manner. We are afraid that having Dr. Crisalle for Phase next semester will not only hurt our grade but it will disable us from learning important material for our career.
