It is fair to say that these are unprecedented times that we are living in.  The cost of living and the emotional damage that COVID-19 has done is immeasurable.  It is the responsibility of the Peabody Conservatory to take care of their student body.  We all know that these decisions were not made lightly, but the action of having two contradictory statements in the span of a month is irresponsible.  It is unfair for Peabody to assume that people can make large financial decisions as quickly as the conservatory releases statements.

This petition is a call for the Peabody Conservatory to take care of their students, to provide aid and equipment, and relief to those who need it.  The actions that is being called for is: a compensation of $2,000 for each the next three months to students who have leases in the Baltimore area, and for the Peabody Conservatory to provide students with the technology they need in order to function effectively online.  The terms and conditions are negotiable, but the principle for what they represent are not.  Here is the detailed proposal: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_WHyrCHOHkitfSj9EspzxdXxbwTnl9gDBX2ut_IHHXQ/edit?usp=sharing
