Virtual learning makes education accessible to all students, especially religiously diverse students and those who suffer from mental health issues. Virtual learning has proven successful, continuing to deny education for marginalized students is unacceptable. Considering the unfairness that lies within DCPS and its choice not to give religiously diverse students days off their recognized holidays, it is insufferable that DCPS does not make virtual learning accessible after the pandemic. Through this petition, we hope to drive awareness to this issue that DCPS fails to address. We have also decided to have DCPS students send videos of why virtual learning is beneficial. Send in these videos regarding the importance of virtual learning to @sww.sga on Instagram.
