emily r started this petition to DC Thomson Media

Anually, 5 million tonnes of plastic is consumed in the uk and 100,000 sea creatures die across the world due to plastic entanglement.

Magazines are needlessly packed in so much plastics so some magazine companies have started using packaging made out of potato starch [it biodegrades in 2 weeks if it accidentally gets put into landfill].  Meanwhile, some DC Thomson magazines are still packaged in 2 or sometimes even 3 layers of single use plastic when being delivered to your home.

DC Thomson media, a large magazine company, should help save the environment by reducing the amount of packaging, and when unavoidable, making packaging out of potato startch or an equally sustainable alternative.

Please help me, and the environment by signing my petition or even sharing to your friends.
