Jack Kaune started this petition to DC-G School Board and

For years the minorities of the DC-G school district have been facing hate and oppression from students and staff members within the community. Including students saying racial and homophobic slurs, teachers making anti-semitic and sexist comments, invalidating the trans students within its walls, and being cruel towards and mocking disabled students. Students should feel safe when they are at school, not threatened or scared.

If you sign this petition, you will help bring awareness to these minorities and injustices. For too long racist and homophobic members of the community have gone unpunished for their actions. This is your chance to help provide support to the victims of this hate. Your signature will prove to the school board that they need to take these allegations more seriously and have more severe consequences for those making comments against race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or a disability. The district needs to realize that they not only need to support the victims of hate, but prevent the hate from occurring.

If you have witnessed or been targeted by this hate don’t be afraid to reach out and share your experience. Everything helps get our message across. Those denying the existence of these injustices are a part of the problem. Please sign and encourage others to sign. This change cannot happen without your support.
