Make AP classes count towards Dallas ISD's student ranks
0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!
This year, Dallas ISD has decided to change it's policy regarding student ranks. In previous years, Pre-AP was issued 8 times the points and AP was issued 9 times the points, but this year Dallas ISD is no longer considering the rigor of the AP classes in comparison to grade-level classes and Pre-AP; thus, devaluating the points and our level of hard work. Since freshman year, I chose to take more advanced classes in hopes of bettering my odds of getting into the university of my choosing. I have spent the past three years stressing and working extremely hard in my Pre-AP and AP classes in order to keep my GPA. To find that Dallas ISD no longer holds those classes in high regard is quite unsettling and to not count the points earned from previous years up to this point is discouraging. Our class and those that follow need Dallas ISD to reconsider this decision as it effects our future endeavors.
