Joe Cowart, head coach of the New Castle Red Hurricanes, has resigned.
As many of you all know, new coach means new staff. With that being said all of us football players would like to change the way new coaching is selected. We players strongly believe that we should have a voice in the selection process.
As a football player from New Castle, I played under Dave Thompson for 2 years as he was part of the coaching staff. He impacted many of us players by motivating us to put in extra work on and off the field. Also, being a father figure to every kid on the team. Whenever we needed help, Dave was always a call or text away.
We would love to see Dave remain on the coaching staff.
