More Acupuncture for Disabled Vets

Our disabled veterans are limited to 6 visits a year in the current system This is unacceptable, as there are some veterans that prefer, and get results from such natural forms of treatment, as opposed to the narcotics that are so readily handed out. My husband is a retired veteran and a deputy sheriff. He cannot, and does not ever want to take narcotics. He pays out of pocket to have weekly treatments, and this is unfair!!! He should have the RIGHT TO CHOOSE ACUPUNCTURE as his form of treatment. It gives him good results and allows him to function so he may finish his retirement with the Sheriffs department, which I believe he deserves! I know he is not the only one. The VA should explore these options, and do some research on the effectiveness of acupuncture as treatment for TBI, PTSD, General pain and overall mental and physical wellness.
