Extend Post 9/11 GI Bill BAH benefits through Christmas break

Recipients of the Post 9/11 GI Bill stop receiving BAH benefits after the last day of school in December and don't start receiving benefits again until the new semester begins in January, though this payment is not received until February at the earliest. It is very difficult for students, particularly those with families, to stop receiving the BAH necessary to pay for living expenses for such a long period of time. For full-time students who do not work during the school year it's incredibly difficult to find a job for just a few weeks over Christmas break to try and make ends meet, especially when school is out and childcare is an issue. This petition proposes that BAH benefits continue through Christmas break for students continuing their education the next semester. This change would prevent undue financial hardship for veterans using their benefits to further their education.
