We need your help, this is an urgent request, our son is being denied inpatient admission to Cleveland Clinic, his admission date is scheduled for Monday, March 4, 2019.  Please sign this Change.org petition to tell United Health Care, that denying coverage is denying care. We have exhausted all treatment options here in Rochester, our son’s best chance for life changing care is in Cleveland. It is not alternative or experimental, yet United Health Care has refused care, recommended by a team of six Cleveland Clinic clinicians, in a hidden and arbitrary way to increase their profits.

Our family purchased health insurance in good faith in the event of major health issue(s). The cost of his inpatient stay is a minuscule fraction of 1% of the CEO’s, President & COO’s salaries individually. Not to mention the other Officers of this $200 Billion Dollar Company. United Health Care has refused this needed treatment in bad faith. This is healthcare rationing at its worst to preserve profits and raise salaries.

The Cleveland Clinic team has appealed to United Health Care three times. We as members have appealed twice. All appeals have been denied. The lack of transparency in the appeal process feels like the insurance company is playing a game of deny, delay, and deceive. Our son is the proverbial sick David being pitted against a multibillion-dollar Goliath, help us throw some stones.
