Introduce mandatory consent workshops for all IRFU players and staff.

After the devastating end to the rape trial in Belfast, where four rugby players were found not guilty of rape, sexual assault and indecent exposure, we are calling on the IRFU to introduce mandatory consent workshops for all club, province, and international players and staff.

There is a disgusting culture that was highlighted by the messages used as evidence during the trial, which illustrated the complete lack of value or understanding of respectful and consensual conduct during any kind of sexual encounter. This is completely unacceptable, and we want the IRFU to show that they demand a level of common decency from all of their players and staff by the immediate introduction of mandatory consent workshops.

There is no grey area in consent. It must be continuous and enthusiastic.
