James Casaus started this petition to David Mandel

Right now I am fighting to be able to walk with my class at graduation.

This problem would be solved if I was able to get the Principal's of Marana and the Superintendent's on board with me being able to walk on May 22nd even though I'm taking online classes through Marana and not actually on campus.

I started this petition because...
It was the beginning of senior year and I was ready to start out my last year of High School strong. I have always been a rather good student but due to personal reasons school was sort of put on the back burner for me my Junior year, however I wanted to change that my Senior year and bring all my focus back onto my education. Unfortunately, due to circumstances out of my control in mid October I was kicked out of my house, forcing me to bounce around at friend's houses for a while until I found a stable, but not permanent place to live. The thought of moving out and getting my own place became a huge weight on my shoulders because I could only do so if I started working more. Once again, due to work load and housing issues, I found school being put on the back burner, even when I tried so hard to make it my number one priority. So, in the end I made the ultimate decision to switch to online school, allowing me to work more and still have an education. Fast forward to now, I'm living in my own place, I am truly happy for once, and I'm almost finished with all my classes, but the closer graduation comes the more upset I become, seeing everyone post their senior pictures, friends always talking about how close it is and how excited they are. Since I did make the switch I am technically not allowed to walk with my class but rather with another class at a different school that I've never attended before in my life. This night is a night of happiness and celebration of years of hard work and I want to be able to share that with all my friends and have my family have the chance to be able to see me walk across the Marana stage with the students that they have watched me grow up with my whole life. Envisioning my night on May 22nd, sitting at home, watching all my friends graduate is not what I've ever wanted, and hopefully we can change that.
