Toms River schools, all virtual learning
Toms River schools, all virtual learning
Why this petition matters
I understand that the superintendent has to manage what is best for schools yet , do parents get the choice to have their opinion taken in consideration?. As received an email (Nov 25) where the superintendent explains that covid cases are rising in our area (ocean county) and for that reason he had students to return to all virtual learning and gaven a date to return back to school (Dec 14) for the safety of our children ONLY IF covid cases dont rise significantly in our area. Yet as of today (Nov 30) we receive another email stating , students to return this coming Monday(Dec 7) and not (Dec 14) for "safe " in-person learning, making the school schedule to change for the 3rd time recently, yet it was mentioned in the email that " COVID-19 Activity Level Report currently lists our area as High Risk" and if more covid cases are reported , the school's will close again and would change the school schedule. Indeed of being listed as "high risk" area for covid cases and to take more Serious Precautions, Keeping VIRTUAL LEARNING will HELP minimize covid cases. Yet it is "preferred" that students should go back to school As Soon As Possible. Ask yourself why are we taken risks like that when they can be prevented in the first place?
