Open Bloomberg Trading Rooms For All AFE Department Students Of Griffith University
0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!
Currently, trading room at Griffith University GC campus is only open for 20 hours a week, and that is simply not enough. The access to the room is given to selected few, who are not always there
1) consider how many students are in the finance faculty of GU(400-500 students), then divide that number by 12 terminals. During the times it is open, its full.
2) As a business, commerce or law students do not require an expensive laboratories, compared to the engineering, medical or science students. It is fair to ask for access to the tool that helps US,as students develop necessary skills for the future employment.
3) And finally Bloomberg is expensive, we all know that, however GU is a business, therefore pays for its expenses either by receiving external grants or from its operations (student fees),as a consequence ,we are the ones who pay for the Bloomberg's Professional services (student version).
Finally, what we are proposing is to introduce that every student (Finance, Economics and Financial Planning students) starting from second year, receives an offer to purchase an access card for a reasonable fee, which he/she can swipe in and out of the room. We think that it is a reasonable demand being made, so we as students of Griffith University can archive great results and learn necessary skills for our future careers.
