Stop the Changes to the Canadian National Anthem

O Canada has been the national anthem since 1939 and officially since 1980. The song brings pride to all Canadians when we hear it at a hockey game, Remembrance Day or other ceremony. On January 31, 2018 the senate passed a bill that changes the lines of the anthem from "In all thy sons command" to "In all of us command". While it may seem like a minor change, this is the song that represents Canada; not only at home but on the world stage. Such a important and historic decision should be put in the hands of the people to decide. Not the governing party that said nothing of this when they ran to be elected. The only thing left before the change is official is for the bill to receive royal assent from the Governor General, Julie Payette. This is the anthem that millions of Canadians have fought under and we can not allow something this important to be changed so quickly and quietly.
