British retailers are some of the most successful and generous retailers in the world but they can do better. A lot better. To spend £6 billion pounds this year alone on sentimental tear jerking adverts (source BBC website) could as an alternative pay for 25 thousand nurses every year for six years, or twelve thousand doctors or twelve yes twelve flagship hospitals. Given to BBC children in need or other charities this money could help thousands of children and disadvantaged people have a better life chance. Please sign this petition and ask Marks and Spencer, John Lewis, ASDA , Tesco, Sainsburys and all the rest to give 90% of that advertising spending to charity and by all means keep 10% back to fund telling us how much good it has done. Think about it. £6 billion on weepy repetitive and sentimental tv adverts or thousands of familires and children genuinely helped. See if we can make a change. Sign the petition.
